CLAIMS REPORTING

Benchmark Management Group has an in-house Claims Department. We directly handle the adjustment of all claims under our binding facility with Underwriters at Lloyd's of London. For other carriers with whom we trade it is our practice and standard to record and process any new claim to the respective carrier within 24 hours after receiving the required ACORD Loss Notice including any supporting documentation.

When an insured reports a new claim, the receiving agent must complete an ACORD Loss Notice Form including any attachments and either email or fax it to us at (630) 778-7007 as soon as possible. Upon receipt of the loss notice we will either assign the claim to an adjuster or forward the claim to the appropriate carrier. We will provide your office with a confirmation of our assignment.

Scottsdale Insurance Company and Benchmark Management Group are very interested in providing the quickest possible response to claims. Scottsdale has made it possible for claims to be reported directly to their Claims Department. Should you choose to report a claim directly to Scottsdale then either the insured or retail agent can choose to report it on line by going to the following link: https://portal.web.scottsdaleins.com/public/insurance_products/report_claim.jsp or you can contact them via telephone at (800) 423-7675. A copy of the claim report, whenever possible, should be forwarded to our office for record purposes. Should this not be possible, Scottsdale Insurance Company will forward evidence of a reported claim to our office within 48 hours of receipt. In turn, we will share this report with your office.

In other such cases, where any of our other insurance carriers have made arrangements to report claims directly to their Claims Department, a copy of the ACORD Loss Notice and any additional correspondence must be forwarded to our office for our records.
